Hello all,
I bought an old Starfire that supposed to have served in the 87 world championships. From what I gathered it was stored in an outside carport for several years. The guy that I bought it from had it wet sanded/cleared, new carpet. The 175 Merc has 118-122 compression. After getting her home for a few days the guy seemed to lie about the transom. I shook it, hung on it and done the plastic hammer test before buying... It passed! On further inspection the floors were 85% solid, stringers (looking with my whistler inspection camera through floor drain holes) looked decent and drilled hole got wood. Transom has been filled with epoxy resin as I found packaging pieces inside boat after buying. Regardless I bought it and have about 3300.00 in it so I plan to use it. (Had it at ky lake 5 days last year no problems.)
Question: Is there anyone with info or can supply me with a photo of the original dual console layout? I have wiring & consoles disassembled with the intentions of putting them back close to original. I need the passenger grab bar beside console as well. Skeeter boats could not help.
