Ok, so I'am doing a full rebuild on my 88. While removing the powerhead the crankcase near the exhaust cracked and is non repairable. I purchased a good used 140 crossflow block to start the rebuild. What can I do to make this motor a true 140? My carbs are 1 5/16 stamped and I dont yet have the bubble back exhaust cover(s) assembly. Just wondering if this is possible. Will be buying new pistons ect.

Does it still have the exhaust filler blocks? For a true 140 powerhead(125hp at prop) you will need:
Exhaust filler blocks, bubbleback exhaust, reed stuffers and 140 carbs.
