ok so i bought this nice little weekend warrior for a fair price and am now looking to clean her up abit. we have already removed all decals, wet sanded, polished and waxed which came out GREAT. I am in the process of re-doing the interior panels and fixing the floor and had a few questions....

I am going to do a spray-in bedliner for the flooring (white or maybe light gray?) and was wondering if i still need to use marine plywood since the bedliner is suppose to be "indestructable"? and what thinknesss of plywood should i lay down either way?
also should I spray the side panels before wrapping them in vinyl to help make them "indistructable"?

any other advice is definately appriciated!!

Sounds like your floor was in bad shape, if you've read other similar threads you'll that the stringers and transom may not be far behind. If you haven't checked them thoroughly you should now.

As far as using bed liner, some people like it and some don't, the harder types tend to get slippery when wet, so if you use one, get a soft and grippy brand.
It's also heavy and pricy, this turns some people to other options. I haven't heard reports of long term use directly over plywood, so its hard to say what?s going to happen over time. Part of the problem is the wood will get wet from the bottom side, so you need seal it also, this would double the area that needs to be covered.

1/2 plywood is normally enough for a small boat.

a heat gun, plastic scraper and then acitone to remove the goooo. I got lucky and had some strips that peeled down like half the boat which reduced time greatly.. the trick seemed to be barely heat the sticker, dont let it get hot and gooie, just enough warmth to loosing the glue.
