this is a 76 year I was told that some h ave a dummy trim sender unit ,, its the one on the starboard side. I put a trim switch in the dash and a control handle with the trim up/down button down on the controller, I purchased a trim sender and trim limit ,, do I have to take off the stearn to install them.. I have been told its possible to not have to take it off,, it looks like the wires are attached and ready but you would have to run them through the stearn drive some how or maybe the wires just pull out so you can connect the new units.. someone out there tell me how to do it,, so I can make the trim gauge work, I got my trim unit fixed was blowing fluid out the bottom by putting in new O rings
