I am putting together a 5.7 l with a 888 outdrive. ?

1) I have a two wire plugin with another 2 unused wires coming off my switch. Is that for a one one solenoid pump? I have two pumps( one with one solenoid and one with two solenoids) that came with the box of disconnected goodies? Will either one work?

2) Two hyd lines coming from the gimbal one black and one grayish black. Do they both attach under the pump, if so how do I know which one on what side of the pump? And their is another clear plastic line connected to the pump already, where does that go?

3)Cooling question , O the starboard side is a line going through the hyd cooler towards the stern. Where does that line go?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated...

I can only answer number 3. That is the power steering cooler. It is the fresh water hose coming from your stern drive to the thermostat housing. I have an 898 which is a 305 Chevy (888 was originally ford) if you need photos
