I checked the timing, at an idle it's 10 deg. BTDC. that seems a little high? I did notices if you give it a little throttle when starting it all cylinders are firing great.Unhook the shift linkage switch and it did nothing.
The only idle timing you need to be interested in is when the scribe mark of the cam is dead centered with the throttle roller. Something like 2,3,4 degrees... something on that order.
The important aspect is the full throttle, full spark advance timing.... too high and that'll set up a pre-ignition scenario that'll melt a piston.... too low and a condition called "Coking" could be setup within the cylinders.
