I have had the boat for several years and I have done all the service on it and it ran beautiful till the day. The starter went, so I put a new one. It will not start anymore. I checked everything and found it to be no spark. I checked with the manual to test everything so I decided to change the stator and the trigger and checked all the wires and still no spark. I jumped the safety switch, rechecked all the wires to make sure they where all connected and its all fine. How do I check the CD boxes? I did this all last year with the manual and now I lost it.
Thanks for reading.

This might sound stupid, but did you do a continuity check on your spark plugs? I couldn't get a spark on my Force 50, and finally did this, found that both plugs were shorted out internally...never saw this before.

first off unjumper the saftey switch , because they work normally open with a jumper on there your throwing a direct short on there and you wont get any spark. one thing you might try is to disconnect the two white wires on the terminal strip located by the starter, this will disconnect the kill circuit from the block to the ignition thus eliminating the harness wiring or ignition switch good luck don

Thanks for the reply. The 2 white wires, are the only ones on that side that are white? I changed the plugs with new ones.

have you tried disconnecting the controll box and checking for spark with a remote starter button?

really theres three white wires two smaller gauge wires are the module and the thicker white is the wiring harness wire that carries it up to the ignition switch, disconnect the two smaller gauge wires, insulate and let them hang, then crank engine and check for spark good luck don

Thank you Don. I will try tomorrow and let you know. Now if it does turn on then I would have an ignition issue, correct?
