Im looking to replace the 125 force outboard on my 19 ft capri. It will need to be a 25" shaft. The question i have is would it be best to find another 125 or smaller or could i go to a 150. I would like to go with a johnson or mercury. I am wondering about the weight difference of the 150 compared to the 125. Everyone has told me to junk the force its not worth fixing.

What's the boat rated for? If it was mine, I'd probably look to go with the biggest 4 cylinder available (that fell within the hull's max HP rating) in order to avoid the weight, thirstiness and complexity of a 6 cylinder.
