I have an 1989 evinrude 70hp, mechanic said VRO is failing on the fuel side of the pump. Said it is pumping oil fine. Any suggestions? Also indicated middle cylindar has got low compression, now I just had a problem with water in the gas, could water have gotten in the rings and siezed it up, is it worth spraying PB blaster in the cylindar or any other hocus pocus to see if I can get the compression up for 90PSI?

Fuel side of the pump is re-buildable.
How low is the low compression in the middle cylinder ?? could be as simple as a head gasket or needing a decarb with a seafoam mix. The 90 psi you mention, is that what the middle cylinder is at or is that what you are trying to achieve?
What are all 3 compression readings ??
