Ok, its a 1989 force 85hp,
I have spark on all 3 wires , but sputters and misfires at low RPM. Ive had it out earlier this week on the water. It did get up on and go about 35-37ish MPH. WOT seemed to sound very good all 3 cyls. hitting nice.
Carbs have been cleaned , timing is center mark WOT cranking speed.
Now there was a flat spot in the throttle i had to work thru to get the speed.
Ok , so i did a little testing. with the engine idling, and a volt meter connected, black ground, red to stator lead 1 , meter shows approx 180V
Stator lead 2 only shows between 45-68V ..
I dont have a DVA adaptor at the moment, but being such a differance in values , am i looking at replacing a stator?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Also i read another thread stating someone tried to use the one working side of the stator to charge both CD units, is that really possible?
