****!!!!89 gamefisher wont run!!!!****

from the top new....head,plugs,water pump,gas can,primer clean the carb has 110 on both cylinders on compression test gets fuel but when i go to pull start it there is a hole in the mid section right above the lower unit and gas flows out of it when i pull. pulled the lower unit and gas is coming out of the exhaust will not run need help!!!!!

new head? did you rebuild it? or buy it that way? somehow gas is getting into the waterport maybe wrong gasket ar it got damaged?

when i got the motor it had a bad head gasket so i got a kit and they sent me a head by mistake but it was the right gasket and head so yes i did a tare down but why is fuel coming out of the exhaust

str8 gas or with water mix sounds like gas is geting into the water jacket somehow thats all i can think of. does this have an elecric fule pump or EFI?

89 Gamefisher (what HP?)

Does it have spark?

I lost 1 of the BIM coils on my 89 7.5HP Gamefisher so it was only running on 1 cylinder. If you lost both of the coils, it wouldn't start.

Fuel coming out of the exhaust, sounds like unburned fuel, perfectly normal if the cylinder(s) are not firing.

is it pouring out really bad ? not for nothing but i worked on a jaguire that had fuel injection and ficu fuel injection controll unit when bad it poured gas all over the place thought it had a cracked block after changing the hole engine come to find out that one did the same thing turns out after many trips to a place that sold used jag parts it was the fuel injection control unit gone bad it just kept pumping gas when the key was turen on enough to fill the entire crankcase and make gas come out the exhaust. just wondering if this acould happen to an EFI

and its not efi its a manual pump on the side of the block

well that is a good thing it might like the other post said just unburnt fuel. are you sure the bulb get hard when you pump it maybe the needlevalve isnt sealing and your overloading the carb

reading your top post you say you cleaned the carb, chances are you needed a new needle and seat... sounds to me like a sticky float
