Well the problem is that the motor takes awhile to get up out of the hole but once it does it runs fast and good. I have no problem with it starting and it stays running...im at a loss. Any advice?
I thought bout that but its the same prop that has been on it ever since my dad bought it. He and i have taken several fishin trips and i dont recall it ever doin this. He passed away 4 yrs ago and it sat for bout 3 yrs untill it was handed down to me.
The point is to compare what the max rpm's are currently with what it did before. So, back to the question what rpm's did it used to run years ago, and what rpm's is it running now with that same prop. Because the prop has been on the engine for years does not mean it is the correct one. Check the spark on all 6 plugwires when the engine is under load (while idling in forward, tied to the dock.)
