HI folks.
I rebuilt the above engine over the winter and finally put some gas in it to fire it up for some final adjustments.. Here is my problem, It is idling erratically, all is in place, I did find a problem however where some feedback is requested. I have a manual on electronic ignition readings, the coils read fine, primary and secondary, the trigger voltage is fine and the stator resistance is bang on.. however, the voltage coming out of the stator for the ignition is suppose to be 150 volts, I am only getting 65 volts, while cranking, It is spinning over fine , the grounding wire to stop the engine has been disconnected, so that is not an issue and the engine is grounded to all points. My thoughts are that the magnets in the flywheel are to far from the stator, however there is no adjustment on the stator other than raising it with some washers..
The timing light is firing but it seams that it misses sometimes, someone said it may be the module but if it was, then I would have 150 volts still coming out of the stator.. any thoughts?
looking forward to your feedback..

There is no adj. for stator air gap, but I think you are on the right track, low stator voltage can cause those kind of problems

I followed the tech manual to a tee, but stupid me, It should not do any harm if I unplug the module from the stator, (one would think), purhaps there is a partial ground in the module, I really don't think so, as it being solid state would probably blow but ya never know.. so what else would it be? I don't think the magnets are weak, it does have quite pull, but pulling the connector apart is easy, lets see what I can come up with..
