Hello All, First Post but insidious Lurker here!
I'm currently working on my neighbors pontoon with the 40hp Johnson 2 cylinder.
The VRO has been disabled, and the diaphragm for the fuel pump side disintergrated pumping rubber particals throught the carbs.
I noticed that the Water Pressure Gauge tap was on the top of the exhaust plate,and the Tell Tale tap was on the
Bottom ? ( Looked like the factory location.) Is there any benefit to moveing it to the top like the Service Builletin for the 60Hp and up motors ? This is on a Pontoon Boat that receives little care! Thanks for the Replies
