I replaced old style starter with new starter on a 5.0 engine. The starter cable is always hot. I need wiring schematic for starter and starter relay.
Thanks, Clyde

Re: 89 OMC bayliner 1950 wire schematic

Sorry for the confusion. The note from the manufacturer in the box said the large starter cable should always have 12 volts present which means moving wires on the starter relay. I have installed a new starter relay, but am not sure where the wires go. I just need to know the connections of the battery cables, the wires to the starter and the other wires on the starter relay. Those four wires go into the wiring harness on the boat. That is how the power is provided to the engine and the front panel.

Thanks,

Clyde
