89 SunBird 5.0 OMC engine Shuttering

I just relaced the shifting cable and now the motor shutters @ low speeds. It feels like the stern drive disengauges. And suggestions greatly appriciated

Sounds like it is not adjusted right. Clutch might not be engaging all the way.
