89'rude 150xp impeller ?

i just check the impeller on it and it was ok but there is water coming out of the crack where the lower unit splits and a hole pointing forward and is blowing out of area below, i guess there is like a tourqe mount on the the motor case that covers the shaft. is this ok the tell-tail is gettin water but it fells week. are the gaskets in the impeller housing bad they didnt look bad.

they all do in the early 90s they put slits in where the lower unit meets mid-section
