Hey Everybody!!

Haven't posted in a while but read a lot to try to help or be helped. I have a fairly easy question. I have a 56 model John. 10 hp that I have a spare impeller for as we used to have two of these FINE engines. My nephew has just acquired from my uncle a 69 model e'rude (9922-s) I believe (I know it is 9922 something).
Question is will the impeller interchange as the 69 has not run in about six years and want to make sure when we take it out we don't have to worry about it. Same shaft size? pump housing size?

Not really a good idea to use a used impeller KB....even if it did fit. You may be taking one problem from one engine and putting it into another.

The PN is 775519 for the impeller. Set ya' back about $18 and tax from a John/Rude dealer. Keep the engine healthy and put a new impeller in.

Despite the closeness in HP, the 10hp and 9.5hp engines are really completely different.
Frankly, I think the 10hp was better than the 9.5 that replaced it. But that's just one man's opinion. :)

OBJ- No, I may not have been clear on the impeller. It is a "new" spare impeller. Never been used. Being that we had two engines we just bought a few of them while they were handy from dealer.

Paul - I agree. The old 10 hp would WAY outperform the 9.5 IMHO.

marysboats - That is what I was wondering. Thanks for the tips EVERYBODY!!
