Howdy, mg5000. <br />I don't know for sure either, I think they were made before '69, but '73 sounds like about right. I bought a Johnny 9.9 around that time and it was a new model.<br /><br />If you want to know the year of a particular engine, give us the model number off of the ID plate. Someone will have the chart on it.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB

First year was 1964, last year was 1973. 1974 intro'd the 9.9<br /><br />-John
