9.5 hp OMC LOWEST RPM

I have an 9.5 Johnson ,model 9222 in fair shape. I was told that this engine model, if well tuned can be adjusted to idle at a very low RPM. Can some one tell me what RPM this engine can be adjusted (slow idle) without stalling? Thank you for your answer! Ronald.

Well if the motor is in good condition it will idle at about 500 RPM.----Good condition does not refer to nice paint !

Racerone ,thank you for your reply . I will try to obtain that rpm....new coils, timing spot on equal with strobe light, clean carb, fuel float level ok. 75psi compression......what else....start on first pull...

The motor mounts and vibration dampers must be in good condition to get down that low. And no smoke inhalation (not in a barrel)
