hello again. got the first of four running great. took it out Sunday and ran like a champ.
I am starting on the second one and I still have no spark. I cleaned and re-gapped the points, checked continuity through the coils, condensers and wires. what should i do next? I hate to start throwing parts at it and would like to do some diagnosing first. I might start swapping stuff to the good motor for test. I just didn't know if there was more I could check.
unrelated question but where would be a good place to get mounts for these?

Is there any chance the kill button is constantly grounded or the wire to the kill button is shorted to ground?

Just seems weird your not getting any spark (from either coil?).... It's a pretty basic ignition system...

Just a thought....

Good luck,

I already disconnected the kill and tried ohms through it, pressing button completes the circuit. your right how its weird that both coils would be bad. both coil packs look brand new too. they are a light green and clean, the condensers are shiny and not dirty either. I checked continuity through the wires and they look ok. I might try swapping some parts to my good motor tonight. thanks for the help. I will let you know what I find.
