9.5 on muffs ? can it be done.9.5 evinrude owners help

i am sick of filling a barrel and running my engine before leaving for the river then when i get home filling it again to fluch the engine. but i cant seem to get the muffs to fit on my small 9.5 evinrude is there diffrent sizes or a trick ?

Hi Wayne....<br /><br />Sorry, but yer stuck with the barrel. Not any good, safe way to get "ears" on these old girls. Do you run in salt water that you need to flush the 9.5 out after every use? Just curious.<br /><br />Jim

Wayne,<br /><br />A 9.5 will run just fine in a five gallon bucket. Just don't put it in gear. No need to anyway-for flushing.

yes i run her in the gulf and in a few rivers on the gulf even know there is fresh water springs in there the water is still brackish so i need to flush her every time i am out for like 15 min because i want to make sure the thermostat is open.
