Hey gang, been gone for a while after selling my I/O. Now I got a fishing boat to tae the kids out in, here's my questions. 1. I got a free 9.6 sea-king from a buddy at work, says it needs a fuel pump diapragm kit, got a supplier right in my area gottem for about 9 bucks. Anything I need to know about this or does someone have a print on it(since I'm fairly new to OB). 2. it's a short shaft and I "should" have a long shaft, half to 3/4's of the prop is below the boat and it will sit well in the water, any problems running it like this on small lakes(very little to no other boat traffic) I have a really nice trolling motor and thats all we used last year(we have a lake that does not allow gas engines).

What do ya'll think?

The motor was built by Chrysler. You may be able to find an aftermarket manual
covering many brands below 30 hp at the library. The basic design is like any mechanical fuel pump there is the diaphram an inlet valve and an outlet valve and a pulse port that operates the diaphram.

Re: 9.6 Sea-King

notinbig,
i have the same motor and posted this a few days ago for parts manual found:

http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=378392

If the link doesnt work go to agriconmanuals.com and click on their marine section. Looking in my parts break down it looks pretty simple.

I am curious though, you say you have a supplier up there. Would you share the contact info as i am still looking for a water cooling pump impellor and carb kit without any luck.

Thanks, Jeff.
