Went to go look at what appears to be a 9.6 hp Viking today. It's one of the ones made by Chrysler in 1970. Hard to tell with most of the motor painted over or scratched up but the tiller handle, cowl shape and badge on the front lines up.
The guy claimed it ran dry last time he used it, but his boat was damaged and he put the motor away for ten years, but the motor is completely locked up, flywheel won't budge even an inch. I'm guessing the power head or the lower unit is completely rusted out, but I'm not familiar enough yet to say for sure. Any tips or ideas? Any idea on how to source parts for a motor this uncommon?
PS attached a few pics I have if that helps at all
