9.8 nissan runs hot

OK so I just bought this used motor looks great two stroke runs great but when I parked it on my beach I was coming in hot I killed the engine then quickly tilted motor up as usual to prevent prop damage... I notice the water coming from the upper unit ( the pisser) was fairly hot I would say about 150 F to maybe 180 F.... Is that Normal I don't remember my last motor identical to this one getting that hot ????

When you stop an engine after running at speed for some time and come to a complete stop, will feel water exciting the pisser much hotter, will need to remain running engine at idle for a short while to cool down. If this is not your case, probably thermostat is not working properly ? Water exits hot, not so hot as to burn your hand though.
