Drain the oil.----Any metal bits ?----Was lower unit off for water pump service ?----Any more history on it.----Something that developed suddenly?---Any water in lower unit last time oil was changed ?
Just a followup for anyone with the same issue. Marina told me I needed a whole new lower unit. No there was no water in the lower unit and not it came on suddenly, just wouldnt change gears. Motor was serviced yearly. Got a used one put on for $300. hmmmm.
