9.9-15 carb conversions &gearcace extensions

hi there I have a 1983 Johnson 9.9 Sailmaster and am looking to convert it to a 15HP. Does any one know exactly which years of the 9.9 and 15 carbs are interchangeable???????

Also I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that makes a gearcase shaft extnsion kit to make this long shaft into an extra long shaft??? Is it possible?????
