Can anyone tell me if a float bowl from a small throat carb 9.9 will interchange with a large throat 15 hp ? Also any tips on installing a cd2 ign on a 9.9 that was points ign. Do i have to set timing and how , i have all the cd2 ig parts just not sure how to set initall timing before putting flywheel on..

Assuming you are working on a motor made around 1975 (you did not say) then yes, the float bowl is the same for the 9.9Hp as it is for the 15Hp.

Sorry, its a 1978 15hp, carb that needs the bowl. Kinda hard to find, so looking for options. Thanks, buy the way the wheel has been reinvented in numerous sizes, colors, and designs. Mankind is always looking for bigger and better.

The 1978 9.9Hp float bowl will fit a 1978 15Hp carburetor.

I am assuming your question on points to CDI is not for this engine, since I believe that engine already has CDI.

I"m looking to change powerheads,my 15 is done. just wondering if i can put all my 15 ignition stuff on a 9.9 power head.( 1976) I can pick up one for cheap. And i know all else will fit.
