9.9 4 stroke overheating ?

I have a 1997 9.9 4 stroke, at start up there is hardly any water from the tell tale, and after a few minutes it’s perceptibly hot at 2,000 RPM, but still not much flow on tick over. I have changed the impellor and thermostat. Any ideas ?<br /><br />Dave

have you checked to see if you have enough water being pumped through so that it doesnt overheat. you might have a clogged water pump or line.

I'm not sure about a blocked line ? How would I tell ? Dave
