9.9 Force Starting & Idle Prob

I have a 1992 Force 9.9 that ran fine all last year after having points replaced. Would not start this year. Finally got the motor to start today, but only at full throttle (disconnected the linkage to allow). The motor runs fine but will not idle down to shift into gear. It dies upon idling down. Not sure pf the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having the same problems with my 15hp. It starts with a couple of pulls with the kill switch on an will run really well but stalls at low speed. I have tried to adjust the carb using the mixture screw (1 1/4 turns out etc.) but adjusting the screw makes no difference to the running of the engine. The engine only starts to stall when the screw is taken out!!! What is wrong!!! I have fitted new plugs and points.

Forgot to mention I have a Chrysler 152HA outboard
