9.9 Merc Bigfoot to 50 Yamaha

18 foot pontoon with a 9.9 Mercury Bigfoot on it. I'd like to buy a friends 50 horse Yamaha that was also on an 18 foot pontoon. Questions are : 1, where do I find controls (preferably NOT a dealer), 2 will the steering controls work , assuming at least slight adjustment for difference in hook-ups?

Here's another idea, (whether good or bad is yet to be determined),is it possible to keep the 9.9 on the stern for a backup/slow moving engine as well as mounting the Yamaha 50 for "get there quicker"

If you need new controls they can be purchased right here on iboats.

We can't see the transom of your boat, but yes, both motors can be mounted, some pontoon boats a need bracket made to mount the kicker though.
