9.9hp mercury primer bulb

So I have a new primer bulb to replace the old one. Now I need to know how to get the new one into the black primer bulb cover? Any suggestions?

Push your hose over the barb fittings and tighten clamps making sure the flow arrow is toward the motor.

Thank you for the feedback.

The primer bulb I am talking about is not the one from the fuel tank. It is on the cowl and has a hose atached to the carburetor.

Doesn't the white primer bulb unscrew so that the bulb itself can be inserted into the cover and then re-assembled?

I don't see a way to unscrew it or disassemble it.

All else failed. As a last resort, I took the bulb and cover to a professional and he pushed the bulb into the cover. It just took a heck of a lot more strength than I have available.
