90 h.p. force timeing

I had stator problem ,replaced and now good spark but broke one magnet off of flywheel.purchased a 120 h.p. force flywheel same year 1992 same part number.do i have to re-time or is it going to work just replacing flywheel.thanks Gord. :eek:

The flywheel should go on with a woodruff key so it should go on only one way. The only way to mess up timing is by messing with the throttle linkage.

hello<br />after carefully lapping the flywheel tapers.<br /> index it to insure the TDC mark shows up in the correct position. then recheck wot timing when done, the inner mags and the trigger control engine timing. yes it can be off. if you dont lap the flywheel tapers there is a good chance to shear the key.
