90 hp force wont hardly to plane out

i have a 1991 bayliner w/90 hp force just rebulit<br />the motor new block,pistions,rings,rod bearings,<br />water pump,& thermostat.i have about 120 psi in all 3 cylenders.& a #17 prop.<br />my boat will not hardly plane out with 4 people in it& it seats 6?? & will not pull a skier?<br />need help thks.... :confused:

not to be silly but is your bilge pump working?? Because if there is a lot of water in the boat it will not plane.... just a thought

If your motor is up to snuff, you might want to watch the weight distribution, especially with four people aboard. Too much weight at the stern will make planing out more difficult. (Are you trying to carry 4-5 people AND water ski?)

I had that type of boat and I'm sorry to state that you are not going to be pulling a skier with that many people in the boat. Not enough Hp. <br /><br />You might drop down to a 15 pitch prop....that will give you more of a hole shot and you might try a doel fin out the outdrive. Also moving your weight forward will help you plane out a little faster if at all....but you're still gonna be draging that skier a ways.

i have not tryed to pull a skier whit 5 people inbut i might drop my prop to a 15 thks.....

Have the same boat w/ 120HP and had the same problem. I put a S.E.300 Sport Marine fin on the motor and it did wonders. Dropped top end a little but the boat planes out almost immediately now.
