Hi guys thanks for the advice on the previous posts, I think we're getting the problem narrowed down. I'm showing .80 ohms resistance on my stator the manuel says .75+/- 0.2. Is it bad? Could this be the reason the tach doesnt work, the battery doesnt charge, and it seems to be bogged down at WOT? Would this also drain the battery down while the boat is not being used?

Thanks,
Ted

If you subtract the resistance of the meter leads, your readings are bang on.
Check for a/c voltage at the stator leads when running. (leads disconnected)

Check the rectifier/regulator. Does it get warm when engine off?

If the rec/reg is not putting out, and you have ample a/c volts, then the rec/reg is bad (or wiring to and from it.....
