90hp Mercury a little rough

This has been something that has been bothering me for a while. When I first got my boat 2 years ago, the first time I took it out, it jumped up on plane faster than any boat I've ever been on. Then I had some carb issues, replaced the rectifier, stator, powerpack, replaced some cracked fuel lines, replaced faulty igniton switch, etc. Now, it runs rough at idle and the boat jumps on plane but not as fast as it used too, I've also noticed that it smokes more than it did before. I mix my own fuel, I might have put a little more oil than usual but I checked my plugs and there is no fouling on them. Following my manual, I can't seem to adjust my carbs so it runs smoothly. Any advice?

The carbs must be adjusted in gear and set as lean as possable only rich enough to accelerate and the syn and link should be cked.

Also check for extra weight in boat. Water, cargo etc. It can slow your plane down real quick. Also listen to laddie he is the pro. Tim
