just got the project boat back on the water! it ran perfect before i took it off the boat. problem is that at idle, motor shakes about every 5 to 10 sec. then cant get it above 4000 rpm or 30 mph (prob blow out at 4100). until last night i was running low on gas to see how low new tank setup reads at empty (for future reference, and i had a gas can) well about 10 sec before it runs out of gas it runs perfect, hops up to 4800 rpm and im doing 40 mph, then it dies. well plan was to go back to dock after i ran out of fuel. no way, after hearing it and seeing it work so good, i tried it again. and yes it ran perfect for 10 sec right before it died (again). but then i headed back to the dock. tonight i am taking the back seats out to see if they were pinching the vent tube. i also took out a fuel filter i had between tank and motor. Any other suggestions?
