Tried the Force section but thought I would try here since it is a Merc. ignition. The engine is a 91 Force 150, inline 5 cyl. and has the Thunderbolt ignition.
The top cylinder is the only one getting spark, and it's alot of strong blue, snapping arcs jumping a 7/16" gap.
It seems like this cylinder is getting the spark meant for the other cylinders.
I measured the resistance of the triggers and they are all within spec at 1250 ohms.
I swapped ignition coil wires, all coils spark when the input from the top cylinder is connected to them.
I suspect that the switch box is bad.
Any input would be appreciated.
