originally the engine would run 5/7 mph, when given more throttle it would die. but it would start right back up. I rebuilt the fuel pump changed fuel primer bulb . and lines from the engine side of the primer bulb to motor connection. it was doing the same scenario. I coaxed it to about 30 mph by moving the throttle back and forth in a rapid motion and just ever so slightly more rpm. it ran fine after that i would sun it to about 30mph and come to a dead stop. i did this several times. i stopp3d it turned the key off and let it set for Bout 30 seconds and it was back to dying at about 1800 rpm. now it will start in neutral but die in gear.

Obvious one..is to ask if the fuel tank vent is open...if it’s a remote tank ? Forgive me.
I’d still suspect the fuel pump otherwise...worth another look ?

have you engaged (pushed tha key in) enrichment circuit when it starts actin' up?.. if so did it have any effect?.. those are wmh's that will have external "accelerator pump" on 'em.. those pumps sometimes cause a lotta problems also.............
