Be very suprised if you burnt out any of your ignition.Have you checked your earths after storing the boat? Best plan would be to get hold of a DVA meter and check signal starting from the trigger coil to the switch box and from there to the coils. I think they'll be the merc blue and don't go pop very often! I'll dig out the resisytance readings for the components if you leave a note to do so. The prob with resistance readings is they're never 100% reliable. Also check your kill circuit, it's the black and yellow wire on your switch box. Just disconnect it and without fuel in the system see if your getting a spark. The start in gear switch in your remote can get sticky over the winter if your box isn't well greased. Happy tinkering

I have not checked anything yet. I am guessing that you mean in 1st sentence not to be surprised if nothing is wrong with ign?

Yep! I always check the basics it can save you a few pounds in the long run. I'd disconnect the kill switch first and then if still no spark begin checking over your ignition. But when you turn the key on all your energising is the starter solenoid. This circuit is mainly linked to the starter motor circuit. On the mariner 75 3cylinder which I presume is your motor the kill circuit earths the spark and does not isolate the startec circuit as in some other makes. As I said if you need the resitance readings for the components I'll dig them out for you.

Hi Workshopmonkey from a 'neighbour' - just a bit further West of you -Ireland. I have no spark on my Mariner 75 and would really appreciate the resistance readings of the ignition system components.
I don't have a DVA but as it won't run maybe it wouldn't be much help anyway.
TIA
