91 Merc 115hp 0D019809 Elpto buzzer

Had the boat out yesterday, ran perfectly, on the way back to the dock at the end of the day, buzzer went off at the control/shifter. Good tell tale stream, motor was not hot, as we had been on the trolling motor for the previous hour. Motor was not run hard all day, mostly at 1500 rpm or so. when we did run it. Motor did seem to smoke a little more than usual while running slowly earlier in the day.Now, after we returned home, a few hours later, I turned on the ignition switch and buzzer stays on steady. Would appreciate where to start to figure out what's going on. The oil reservoir on the motor is 75% full, and again the tell tale stream was good and solid as always.Looked in the manual, not much info on warning buzzers there. Checked other threads here, but still not sure where to begin. I believe the buzzer was on continously as we approached the dock to load on the trailer at the end of the day, it was only run in this condition for 2-3 minutes.As always, thanks in advance for any suggestions.

A steady buzz is for heat if the engine is cooling or has not been run then try to disconnect the temp sencor if that stop the buzzing replace it

Oil tank sensor may have dropped the magnet off of the float, triggering the low oil alarm. Prove it by disconnecting one of the wires to the magnetic switch, two blue wires at the bottom of the tank with bullit connectors.
If this stops the alarm you will have to order a replacement tank as the float is factory installed, the tank is molded around it. I have heard of one successful attempt to re-glue the magnet to the bottom of the float, but he cut the tank apart to do it!

Thanks for the fast responses! My son corrected me and told me it was not a steady beep, but an intermittent one, so when I got home this evening I turned on the ignition, and sure enough it was a beep..beep..beep..beep! I removed the engine cover and disconnected one of the blue wires to oil tank, turned on the ignition, and sure enough the alarm went away. (The oil tank is 3/4 full) So I will get a tank ordered tomorrow, thanks again for your responses, it is greatly appreciated. Brad
