91 Mercruiser 3.0 block

What year blocks are compatible with a 1991 3.0. Mine has a crack on the outside. The manifold also does. I found a 1985 relatively cheap. Not sure if the valve head and other components will fit. I am doing a complete overhaul on this project boat. The crank on the 1991 has a one piece seal, for some reason that seems important.Thanks for any help.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... For that reason, ya need a '90 or Newer to do a Long Block swap,.....

If yer swappin' fully dressed bobtail motors, anything newer than '83 or '84 will drop in, 'n fit up just fine,.....

Sorry links above didn't come through correctly. Bobtail is complete engine accessories to coupler, wiring harness, carburetor, ignition etc.
