My last post was about purchasing a glastron with a 4 cylinder penta. Well that deal ended up not happening. So we went with plan B which was a 91 Super Craft with the penta 431. Same thing about didn’t hear it run because the battery was dead but this boat was taken care of better. My concern is because the guy had it sitting out side under a cover with no battery Hooked up there was a lot of standing water in the e one compartment and step into the cuddy. How do I remove that water and also what could be damaged? The water wasn’t up very high in the engine compartment. But there was still water in there.

From the words, doesn't sound too good. If this description is of a used boat "taken care of better", and there's water inside the boat, I'd be concerned about everything else. There's many ways to remove the water, but I'd be more concerned of the source of that water, and how long it's been in there. Does the water come out the drain plug hole (if the plug is out) and the boat is tilted properly? Water sitting "in the engine compartment" - could be a lot of work.

It’s been barn stored with a cover on it until they put it out for sale 2 months ago. Where is the drain plug on these? (I have only ever owned a bass boat before)

Bilge garboard drain should be on transom, just above keel

Being a 1991 boat, you need to check for rot.

Water in the cuddy will mean lots of mold, mildew and other issues

The drain was there. Thank you. Not sure how I missed it the first time. It was a plastic screw in plug that of course cracked when I tried to remove it. The water hadn’t been in there long since it was mostly kept inside until the previous owner put it outside to sell it. So fingers crossed that there isn’t any issues
