91 rude 9.9 hp carb air leak.(crack)

carb body cover(334050)has crack.I understand it was from poor design.I was told there was a redesign.does anyone know what I am looking for to solve this problem.Is there a replacement cover or does this require a newer carb?any info appreciated. dave<br />model E10REI.sn G02613888
