92 200 dx evinrude fuel restriction questions... please help guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi guys i have a 92 200 evinrude oil injected outboard. the console gives me a constant tone, which from my manual is overheat or fuel restiction, the stream of water is strong and cool, so i consentrated on fuel delivery... when i squeeze the gas bulb the tone stops... so i narrowed it down to fuel delivery.. after idling for 20-30 seconds it starts again def. fuel prob.. i will replace the fuel filter and inspect the lines other than that what should i come to the dock with to trouble shoot if filter and lines ok?? thanks guys you all save this noobs *** on a regular basis!!!!!

Check the anti siphon valve in fitting on top of fuel tank.

try an inexpensive 6 gallon portable take...if it stil occurs, you can go with larger hose...if it stops, you can isolate back to your fuel supply....water separator, anti syphon, fuel vent and shut off valves...clogged filter screens on your fuel pickup tubes can do it as well if you find those, get rid of them as well as the anti syphons...they cause more problems than they are worth
