92' 5hp Tohatsu 2 stroke

I have a guy bringing over this motor i am thinking of buying for me to try out on my 13' fishing boat, can you think of anything i can check out or know of any common faults with this particular motor before i part with $400

Check for corrosion, wear & tear, make sure it goes in forward/reverse, needs to start right up, check compression ....
