92 90HP Force drop lower unit for back flush

I had my impeller replaced last year and have only run the boat a few times since. getting high temp alarm at slow speeds, not high. I just found out t-stat was removed so I am putting that back in and a water pressure gauge.

I want to do a back flush but from what I read you have to drop the lower unit.

Is there a way to drop the lower unit to backflush with out taking it COMPLETLY off?

No. It has to be disconnected and dropped several inches.
Since you won't want to sit there and hold it, you need to lower it to the ground.
