This all started with needing the interior redone. After pulling the interior I found someone just decked over old deck. Stringers are pretty bad on one side, foam is pretty much water logged. So this is my plan so far.
1. New stringers
2 New deck
3New foam
4.Gel coat new deck
5.Totally redesign the interior
6.Transom ???

Looks like fun. I'll be tagging along, looking forward to the updates. The boat looks nice from the outside and I'm sure you make the insides just as good. :thumb:

Diff gonna be more cans before the demo is finished.
Now for the questions
1. My strings aren't one piece, the bulkheads are one piece and the stringers are pieced together. Should I go back the same way or cut my stringers as one piece and glue the bulkheads in between?
2.My seating and floor in the bow is all one piece, is there anything I should know before I cut that out of the way?

If possible make stringers as one.On mine I made only the outside stringer one piece and all others I had to piece part.

On the front if you are not going to decap the boat. Cut the front walk area out. Maybe by cutting midway along the side pieces. be sure to measure, then measure again before you cut. Unless you have plenty of room under the walk area you could do what I did and craw under there. If I had to do over I'd cut mine out.

"Wood on glass" has some guide lines on doing stringer and transoms.

Keep me posted

6 months is typical. If you have more time to dedicate to it, then it could go faster.

So I'm to the point of making my stringers and bulkheads. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using Nidacore?

Time for a update.
I have all the wood and foam out and have started grinding. I am thinking about moving the bulkhead at the front of the bilge forward 2 inches which will in turn move my fuel tank up 2 inches, but will give me much needed space if I ever have to work on the engine. Is there any reason why this would be a bad idea?
On a good note I did get some goodies in the mail today.

This is where the factory didn't get the stringer glassed to the hull. Foam pushed its self under it.

My nidacore showed up today. Any one have suggestions on what to use to bed it to the hull and glassing?

Hey Hi!
What is the status of the transom....Hate to say but most times with all the rot below the transom goes too! Would hate to see all that expensice nida core go to waste if the transom isn't addressed at this time. :)
