Im putting together my replacement engine which is a 92 3.0 i4
my old engine is an 84 3.0 i4
The 92 didnt come with a fuel pump so I moved the pump from the 84 to the 92 and it fit but the fuel line doesnt look like its right, or long enough.
What im wondering is, IS THIS ONE OF THOSE ENGINES WITH THE UPSIDE DOWN FUEL PUMP?
Thats the only thing I can think of that makes this makes sense. If you look, if it was upside down, the metal fuel line seems like it would fit right up, the right place.
Do I need a fuel pump that goes upside down? If not I need a recommendation of a CHEAP electric pump and way to run a pressure switch off the oil line or something.
Id like to use the mechanical as it seems simpler, but it looks like i either need to buy a pump that goes upside down, or a different fuel line. or just run a generic fuel line from the output on the pump to the carb!?
To recap:
Engine is a 92. Fuel line is CORRECT FOR THAT MOTOR it came with it
Fuel pump is from my older 84
Thanks
