92'150 hp e rude idles only on muffs

put boat in water stalls when i put it in gear. WORK PERFORMED OVER WINTR; rebuilt carbs,plugs, stats,recirculation hoses,new fuel water seperator and assembly,l/u oil change.new prop,new primer ball,RUNNING OUT of options does anyone have any suggestions thankyou!

Yup, Guyo.<br /><br />You did the idle adjustment on the muffs, with no back pressure on the exhaust. You need to set the idle with the lower end in the water. Do it by the book, not by ear.<br /><br />Good luck.

the engine starts up fine idles for a while and even if i advance the warm up lever she stalls; note i have fuel flow and also the timing was checked thanks!

What rpm does she idle at in the water, guyo?<br /><br />Have you ensured that all 6 are making power?<br /><br />Are you working with a manual or by instinct?<br /><br />I think that the first thing you need to do is forget that you rebuilt/replaced so much stuff and assume that you have fuel pump or carburetion trouble.<br /><br />Good luck.

SHE IDLES AT ABOUT 750-850 RPMS AND YES ALL 6 CLY ARE MAKING POWER TODAY A FRIEND TOWED ME OUT TO OPEN WATER I STARTED THE ENGINE PLAYING WITH THE PUSH IN KEY PRIMER AND THROTTLE I WAS ABLE TO GET THE ENGINE TO RUN GREAT FROM 3000-TO 5000 RPMS BUT IT SUX OR STALLS AT IDLE UP TO 2000 RPM DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ?? ACTUALLY SHE PRACTICALLY STALLED AND THEN JUMPED TO 3000 RPMS AT THE START //// NOT TOO GOOD WHEN YOUR TRYING TO GET INTO A SLIP///
